Why the input is just L instead of Stereo?
We recorded a five hour performance. When we tried to download it from the ki-pro to our computer the transfer time indicated that it would take 9 hours to download. The transfer failed twice. The file size was 330Gb!! What is the best record format to use that will retain quality without the ridiculously large file size?
ProrRed LT? Thats the format that used the lowed bit rate with pretty decent quality. The other option is to removed the HD and transfer it via a SATA to USB-3 connection.

Escuse me i have one question, When I try to send my tracks to a bus aux and I select the bus in ‘solo’ all tracks get mute but when I deselect the tracks sound normally,, I’m don’t know why it happens upside down , I have a new interface and I setuped everything for default.. 🤷🏻♂️ what should i do?? I know is something easy to fix but I cant find this joke!!

Is there a compressor plugin onboard the CL5 that has a "mix" control to blend the dry signal in with the wet? If so, you could route all your drums to a buss, then insert the compressor, smash the drums and blend the raw drums in with the mix knob. I believe this would maintain latency/phase coherence.
Maybe im a studio guy but thats there is no compensation drives me crazy. Cant you flip a mode? I know they want to have anytime the same latency no mater what effects you use- but there is a great danger to it.
Sir, did you realize that in the comparison, your voice compresses the music, so the effect wouldn't be heard as much

There’s no way to offset for this on a CL5? I thought sure there was some method of delay compensation and phase coherency.... this is basic stuff.

I am in charge of tech for a network church of life church and we have just switched over to using lyric videos as opposed to pro presenter. We have just been dropping in a single video file to pro tools but I was wondering how you all did it and if there is a way to run the video for the projector and a video for the confidence monitor at the same time while keeping it all synced up with the tracks?
Ours is showing zero clips but only 10% left on hardrive... I dont understand. There are zero clips to delete yet says I only have 10% memory left. Please help

the $100 a year software is castr.io/, castr lets you live stream from sites like facebook, youtube etc... the $27 a month lets you stream from your personal website.

There are some alternatives out there that can accomplish the same goal. AVerMedia has some hardware as well as Black Magic (if Thunderbolt is an option)!

Hi thanks for this great tool. We are planning to do simulated live services this Sunday for the first time. Everything works great on iphone, android, chrome, and IE edge. However I tried IE 11.719.18362.0 and a blank page shows up with no errors. I know most people will use their phone or I hope chrome but I am concerned that some people with IE 11 will be unable to join. Thanks in advance.

Your team is amazing. Musicians and singers voices are loud in the kingdom but you guys shake this realm. HOW DO CAPTURE YOU STATISTICS FOR YOUR WORSHIP ENCOUNTERS? I have livestream, Facebook (multiple pages) and we are adding a second RUclips channel and the statistics are confusing. I have linked my new Church Online Platform "Hastings.online.church" through our Go Daddy Church Website. When I click the link on the church website "Hastings.Church" I get this "Kubernetes Ingress Controller Fake Certificate" ? Yet when I go to my normal browser Windows 10 I have no problem connecting to "Hastings.online.church" weird any suggestions? Ps you guys are doing a brilliant job!!!!

Hi Kayla! Our Church Online team for sure has volunteers to engage with people attending church online from all over the world! It is super helpful to have that presence so those joining know there really is a person on the other side of the screen praying for them and interacting with the message. I'm on the Tech Team so I'm not totally sure how the process is laid out for the volunteer teams but I'm positive that the church online team would be happy to answer those questions for you! How do you determine if your bandwidth if enough and if you need dedicated internet for your streaming device even if you have 50mb fiber
The two numbers that will be most important is the bitrate that you're streaming at, and the upload bandwidth of your connection. If you've got a connection with 50mbps upload you should be good to stream just about anything. As long as no other people/machines that might share that connection are hogging any bandwidth. Dropbox is one service that you'd want to look out for.
Our guest and private staff work are on the same bandwidth. How can alleviate this as an issue $750 for our current bandwidth. Do I need another dedicated circuit for streaming or should I get a new switch and plug the steaming computer into that vs a cluster of gb switches
@@toiristeoneal1767 The first thing you need to establish would be a link budget...aka how much upload bandwidth do you need which is primarily determined by your video resolution. For us we do a 1080P stream at 6 meg. A good a rule of thumb to ensure you have sufficient margin is to have 2.5 x the needed bandwidth of your stream. In that scenario a 1080P stream at 6 mbps would need 15 mbps of available bandwidth. You can use VLAN and QoS to reserve a segment of bandwidth for streaming purposes only and prioritize that traffic. You would need to consult your network engineer to set that up specific to your environment. At the same time you could kill the gnat with a sledgehammer and just purchase a second connection dedicated for your stream. The right option really just comes down to what works best for your setup and budget.
Hello I am trying to help a church online platform initial setup for someone but it looks like we must have downloaded something wrong. The only tabs that are showing on this are analytics, services, users and setup. Is there an extra plugin that needs to be downloaded so i can get all the other tabs ie: media...i read something that i might actually downloaded the beta version 4 or some thing like that. Is there a way to download the original so i might access all of the tabs?

Yes, great point! That's something we didn't really touch on, but there are hardware devices out there that can take the place of a PC and really simplify the process.

Not necessarily Church Online Platform itself, but if your stream is outside of Facebook or RUclips it won't trigger their automated systems.

How do i patch more than 2 inserts?
2 is the max that you can have on each channel
I Always creates 2 Stereo Groups (Mix 1-2 Drums ) ( Mix 3-4 DrumComp ) routet to main mix. Take all your drum inputchannels out of Stereo main mix and put them into both groups. There is no Phase issue if doing it that way. You can also insert your favorit compressor from Premiumrack on the drum-group, but you have to insert on the other group also, to compensate for the extra delay.
Do I have to insert the SAME Premiu Rack Unit? or any premium rack unit will have the same delay? I mean because I usually have my Drums into bus with a Multiband Comp and I want to do another group but have it compressed maybe with the 1176 or the LA2A.
This is a valid, but ridiculous way of doing things. Cant you just delay the signal that’s going from the input channel to LR to line up with the latency signal passing through the buss compression?
@@LaminarSound That would also delay the signal going to the buss, achieving the same results.
This is a great idea, especially if you have lot's of unused mix busses on the CL5. This is likely if you are using an additional console as the monitor board or just using the CL5 as a recording console.
@@peakAV Yeah that makes sense. I still think its a bit of a waste to need 2 separate stereo mixbusses. What about flipping the phase on the compression bus? I know that may or may not align the wave forms perfectly, but could be a sufficient solution no?
Why are you driving this reverb from a matrix instead of a mix?
I would guess so he will have the mixer busses for extra monitor sends. With en-ears in stereo, it can eat up lots of mix sends. On CL & QL, you can use extra matrix sends to act as mixing sends.

Thank You. Just wanted to add a note for those that had the same issue we did, we weren't able to see the upload and download tabs in the All Clips window. In order for us to be able to change the media state we had to go to menu > media > media state > and change it from Record Playback to Data-LAN. Then in the ALL CLIPS window we were able to see the upload and download tabs. This may be because we should update our firmware. BTW also was using a Firefox browser on WIN XP.
I'm a bit confused. So what you're saying here is: you can't do paraller compression on QL/CL?
The answer is yes you can but you need to group your inputs into mixes first, then route the mixes to LR. For example, mix 1-2 is raw drums, mix 3-4 is compressed drums.
@Evan Cormier Inputs can be delayed on the CL5, but that wouldn't help this issue.
easy way to do it! send the drum to bus 1-2 and 3-4 ! 1-2 add the same compressor plug in but don't compress the signal then the bus 3-4 smash it NY style ! in that way the latency is the same on both bus! i've been doing it in digital console for ages! spread the Love ! 1Lov from Brazil
Marcos Ferrari does the latency of the plug-in vary at all based on the amount of processing the plug-in is actually performing?
What about the rest of the inputs/channels then? Won't there be a time/delay issue with everything else since you are essentially delaying your entire drum section--even if it is a few ms? Seems if there's enough latency between assigned L/R channels and the parallel channels to throw off their phase, it will cause everything else then to sit just in front possibly. Its too bad Yamaha basically skipped this very popular process, instead of addressing it like EVERY other digital console maker.
@@thewhiplash8529 Problem is happening when you mix same signal. If you mix drums with latency and guitar without latency, then nothing will happen. We are thinking about latency around 10-15 ms, not 1 second :) If your vocalist using ceondenser mic and drums bleed a lot in voc mic, then you will have problem but other cases there will be no problem.
This is the one and only way to do that with this mixer.

when i add an FX as a Insert, i see that the output from the FX patch screen is to the stereo return channel, and also to the original channel that the FX was inserted in. I don't understand what this means. Any help?
You need to unassign them from the stereo returns...that is basically like a factory setting/start. BUT--typically you don't "insert" FX--you send an aux mix...and they return to the stereo inputs or to assigned channels.
